Newsflash
The idea behind E-VeT is to give both public access to an array of animal related material and a place to upload your pet's images, memorials, useful links and caresheets - that sort of thing. For Vets this will be a repository of useful images and a place to add content in terms of interesting cases and to upload images for discussion via the email lists at yahoogroups. There will be a necessary delay in some features becoming available as I transfer content from the old site first so check back for updates. - webmaster

This is a short introduction on how best to use E-VeT's new site. It will take a little while for content to be added from the old site and final configurations need to be adjusted. This 'How to' article will be edited as necessary to reflect changes. All articles and contributions are stored under one of three categories: Public, Registered or Special access

E-VeT's Recent Absence
Written by Administrator

E-VeT has just been through a difficult time after a disagreement with our previous hosting service and an extreme invoice for excessive bandwidth costs that, irrespective of any theoretical contractual agreement was 'unfair'. £4,250.00p (or to convert to US equivelent some $8,000.00) in seven weeks.

It was amazingly gratifying to see members of the mailing list creating a fund to help me out. Now that's community spirit!

ImageThe full story is fairly complex but from the veiwpoint of the hosting company this bandwidth was used and should be paid for. Now you may think that sounds fair enough but the reality was that some one or two external computers kept querying the same small script and cranked through the site's monthly bandwidth limit inside half a day...

Welcome to E-VeT
Written by Web Master

This is E-VeT's new home and hopefully it will make us all proud! Proud to be part of E-VeT, proud to share experiences and a social time together and proud to be part of the community that supported me in creating this new home. And special thanks to those many members who sent donations in light for the huge charges made by my previous Hosting Service.

My best wishes to you all - and WELCOME!
- Peter Knapp
