This is a short primer on how to upload images to the gallery pages. Please take some time to navigate that section and see where best your images or photoseries belong. There are separate areas for Public access and for E-VeT's members to upload case material, reference images and social stuff. The gallery pages have their own login. Access to the public section is by registering separately to the gallery and accepting that registration. (That allows me to track any members of the public attempting to upload anything lewd or inappropriate - and i promise any such breaches of decency will be reported via their iSP or domain hosts with a view to prosecution under their local laws.) E-VeT access is for registered members who have been upgraded to 'special access' - a necessary step to prevent fraudulent registrations. Use the gallery's own login on it's page. Members may then access a massive database of images arranged in multiple folders. The access username and password are currently the same as for the 'vets only' section of the old site but may be changed from time to time. Access codes will be posted in the content section under a restricted access heading so only ratified members can see them. The gallery allows multiple different types of posting. The left menu options for members include adding a new album if uploading a whole series of images into it's own subsection or adding an item if just adding one picture. Each album or sub-album allows for it's own description and commentary as do individual photos. Where possible please try to add keywords to help future searches. When adding items the option are to browse to the files on your own PC and pick-list them individually. There is a maximum file upload size of 2MB per image/session but you can repeat the session immediately. Alternative upload methods include inlcude the use of a small javascript progam to simplify multiple upload or for XP users there is an option to download a registry modification and the use the 'publish to the web' option in your file folders. This is the neatest way to create new folders and label them and insert imags in one go. It is also much quicker since your PC will do most of the conversion work on files before sending them. However, I do recognise reticence to allowing a registry change. I am using that system on two of my own PC's without issue and it is neat. Images uploaded here must be your own or with the permission of the owner. It is not e-vet's policy to condone beaches of copyright. Any images that have been uploaded and are claimed as copyright will be removed on request and confirmation of ownership.
